Business Traveller invited its readers to dine at Zuaya - and an enjoyable night ensued
Delicious Latin American gastronomy and expert advice from blog Turning Left for Less made for a lively dinner at Zuaya in January, 2019.
Readers of Business Traveller braved one of the coldest days of that year to join us for a six-course tasting dinner at Zuaya in Kensington.
After a reception enjoyed over Zuaya’s take on a Pisco Sour, Business Traveller editorial director Tom Otley welcomed familiar faces and newcomers to the dinner. Co-host and deputy editor of blog Turning Left for Less, Paul, was on hand to provide insider expertise on maximising tier points and miles.
Guests enjoyed a Latin American feast amid tropical interiors. Colourful plates came in waves, with the kitchen taking guests on a flavour-filled trip around Peru, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Sharing-style plates included the likes of Brazilian bread with cassava, mozzarella and cheddar cheese; a burrata corn brûlée; stone bass ceviche with cherry, raspberry, orange, pink grapefruit and physalis tiger’s milk; lamb purple tacos with ras el hanout and smoked pineapple; aged Peruvian rib eye with cassava and yellow aji; and a playfully-named jungle cheesecake with passion fruit.
Tom left sometime around 10.30pm, but others stayed much later....
